FALL IN LOVE WITH BAGUIO

Mom, dad and I will have a different Christmas vacation this
time around. Packed your things, come with us, and don’t you dare forget your

1. ACCESSSIBLE to travel by land. 6hrs. travel time from
Manila to Baguio, including 3 stop-overs in Dau,Pampanga, Tarlac and La Union,
so don’t you worry about the call of nature. J
2. CONVENIENT,
your five hundred peso bill will take you to the summer capital! I suggest you
take Victory Liner as your travelling partner if you’re from Manila or nearby.
3. The ZIGZAG SAFE
ROAD. And I repeat SAFE ROAD. The roadway in Benguet connecting the
mountain city of Baguio to the lowland town of Rosario in La Union, the
shortest route yet the most awaited part. Your Baguio escapade would not be
complete if you missed it. So just a tip. Don’t sleep while travelling. J You’ll gonna experience a roller coaster
ride.
4.The BRAINFREEZING
CHILL. The fog, temperature below 10°
in the month of January, So bring a human jacket with you and tight hugs will
do!
5. THE FOG. Bow.
Fog starts to appear on the Kennon Road lives moist on your cars, windowpanes
and glasses.
6. TRANSCIENT HOUSES.
A good cheap hotel on its very affordable price. Reservations and packages are
available.
7. PHILIPPINES’
LITTLE NEW YORK where people are all busy walking and passing by. Don’t
miss the chance to roam and have a cup of coffee in the Session Road; our
version of Main Street.
8. THE LEGENDARY
BURNHAM PARK. An urban park located at the least of the City of Pines. The
boating in lagoon at night, with matching 80’s and 90’s song that will serenade
you and makes the night more romantic.
9. STRAWBERRIES <3.
The garden of strawberries, strawberry taho, strawberry jam, strawberry
shortcake, and everything about strawberry. Visit the strawberry farm to
witness and have the chance to pick your own berries.
10. UBE. Want to
see how ube is being processed, then Good Shepherd Training Center is waiting
for you! Don’t miss the chance not to taste their special ube made by our dear
sisters.
11. CHEAP TAXI FARE.
Since Baguio is known for its cold environment, taxis without aircon are in.
You can tour around the city having just a hundred peso bill.
12. DAMPA. You
don’t need to eat on expensive and elegant restaurants. A fine dining is
available on the streets of Burnham Park, where grilled meats and varieties of
viand are in here.
13. THE MINES VIEW
PARK. One of the well-known landmark of Baguio, where sky is the limit!
Nearby pasalubong centers are also located. Don’t forget to take picture with
our Igorots and with the Saint Bernards. J
14. THE BOTANICAL
GARDEN. For the flower and nature lovers, this place is especially for you.
The breeze of the pine trees, and color of the flowers will make you feel like
a fairy or a shefro. Free of charge in entrance. Just don’t pick flowers.
15. SM BAGUIO.
Bring pasalubongs and shopping on a mall with no aircon? SM Baguio is a place
for you just a little walk from the Session Road. It will give you a scenic
view over the mountains of Baguio.
16. MIRADOR HILL.
Be with our Lady of Lourdes and step a hundred to reach the top of the grotto.
The thrill of adventure starts from the
very 1st step. Don’t forget to pray and offer a candle to Her. You
got to experience to see the fog up in the mountains. A cup of strawberry taho
is a perfect way to replenish.
17. THE CATHEDRAL.
Don’t forget to kneel down, pray and rest with Our Lady of the Atonement. A
perfect resting place to visit. It would definitely complete your travel with
the guidance of Her and our Father.
18. THE DANCING
FOUNTAIN. Groove with the lights as you experience face to face dancing
fountain. People crowding in the area adds goose bumps as they all give a big
smile and shake a leg to the beat of the lights.
19. Scenic views. Over the top of the mountain adventures,
cold and chilling temperature, nature friendly environment, authentic foods,
and etc. What makes you really fall in love with the City of Pines is the
hospitality of the people as they welcome visitors to their hometown, how they
guide the directions to a particular place to a total stranger. Drivers,
passengers, vendors, will share story and tell you how beautiful the place is.
